Alpha Xi Delta

Delta Zeta at LIU Post

Chapter History

Alpha Xi Delta Fraternity was established in 1893 at Lombard College in Illinois by 10 amazing founders. An interesting fact about us is that we are referred to as a fraternity because we were founded before the term “sorority” even existed! All Alpha Xi’s encourage women to realize their potential by living by our four core purposes; sisterhood, leadership, knowledge, and service. Our philanthropic partner is the Bethany House, a women's and children's homeless shelter as part of Alpha Xi Delta's Kindly Hearts Initiative. The Delta Zeta chapter originally chartered in 1962 and then re-chartered in 1992. We have a huge history as a part of the LIU-Post campus!
